We are excited to announce that our Bites of the World postcard collection is now officially available at The Pushcart Presents, a gift shop located within NYC’s historic Essex Market.
Released this previous winter, Bites of the World is a vibrant collection of illustrated food expressions from ten countries around the world, from Italy to Vietnam.
These postcard designs explore how certain beloved dishes and ingredients can communicate precious stories about a culture’s values, beliefs and traditions.
The Pushcart Presents is run by long-time Lower East Side residents Lousie Sturcken & Javier Molea and features handmade goods, designs and crafts by local artists with a focus on representing minority entrepreneurship.
From clothing to ceramics, the team at this popular shop carefully handpicks and curates their selection of unique gifts.
Essex Market itself has a rich history, with origins that date all the way back to 19th-century New York. Today, it features a range of independent vendors, including bakeries, coffee vendors, and spice shops, as well as LES Girls Club and the arts nonprofit Cuchifritos Gallery + Project Space.
As local residents who are passionately in love with the city, we are so thrilled to now belong to this special collection of curated goods at Essex Market.
